LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - In observance of National Food Bank Day, we remember how our local food banks played an important role during the pandemic.
While many foodbanks and volunteers continue to help those put food on the table, one tool is helping one of our food banks move forward.
Last year when the pandemic first hit, the Laredo Regional Food Bank was able to feed 100,000 families in need, many of which didn’t have to spend as much time waiting in long lines for their food supplies.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County is offering residents a new way to pay their property and real estate taxes.
The county has installed a new outdoor payment kiosk at the Chesterfield Adminstartive Buildin on 9901 Lori Road.
They say the kiosk is available 24/7, and that it accepts credit and debit cards, cash and checks.

DODGE CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – In a community where more than half of the people speak Spanish, having resources that help overcome language barriers is essential. The city of Dodge City is bringing good news to its diverse population.
Before the pandemic struck, a large majority of Dodge City’s population preferred in-person payment methods according to city officials. This was especially true for parts of the Spanish-speaking community that relied on translators.

In an effort to give more availability in paying your city utility bill, the City of Dodge City has acquired bilingual, self-service Justified Automated Collections Kiosk (JACK), a touch screen kiosk that allows residents to pay their utility bills through contactless services.
Currently there is one JACK located inside the main entrance of Village Square Mall, 2601 Central Ave., with a second location being set up on the north side of City Hall, 806 N.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The city has set up kiosks as another payment option for water bills. To pay at the kiosk, customers will need the bill and account number. There are several locations available around town.
The kiosks are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“This is only for your water bill,” said Noraida Negron. “So we now have different locations. We have four of them. One is right here at the City Hall.
